Player Discussion Jake Sanderson (D) PART 3

He's a nerd who wouldn't know how to answer a question at the rink if he was watching a game with guys involved.

He had wingers 5'7 Pashkin and 5'8 Nygard ranked ahead of Sanderson in 2020, at 12th and 13th, which may quite literally be the worst bit of "scouting" you can find anywhere

Dummy had Stutzle 10th

He's not a nerd. Nerds have intelligence. He's a dork.

That is an interesting article.

Makes me wonder what Sigalet advised him versus what Baumgartner did.

If Sigalet's advice is that helpful, I think it would be wise for the other Senators defensemen to consult with Sigalet too; some of them could definitely use his help (e.g., Hamonic, Matinpalo, Kleven).

With 23 pts since 25 Jan (21 games), Sanderson is:

Second on the Sens in scoring behind Stutzle,
Second among D league wide in scoring behind only Makar
3rd in Pts per game league wide among D behind Makar and Hughes.
He has looked like the Sanderson we were accustomed to.

Huh...

Slav-enski. Thats sound like money

He's 10th in the NHL now in points by a defenseman, and how many of the guys above him are also in their team's shutdown pair, drawing the toughest assignments every night?

In the top 10, only Hutson is younger, and he's certainly not getting the tough jobs.

The next seven years at eight mil per should be one of the highest value contracts in the league.

He's looking like a top 7 D year-in and year-out for the next 12 years. Unreal draft pick and MVP of the team.

Imagine we drafted Drysdale instead. Team would still be in the basement.
