Wow that is much cheaper than what I was expecting. I was expecting around 3.5m - 3.75m but I guess Evans really wanted to stay with the Habs. This is a nice bit of business by Hughes and the perfect term for Evans who is really needed by the Habs right now due to their lack of quality NHL centers going forward. Well done Hughes and thanks for sticking around Evans.

This is a feel good signing and Jake is showing a ton of respect for our team friendly contracts.

This is a great number and term.

He clearly loves it in Montreal and fits in well with the team. You can see it in the pictures, he's very close with Caufield and Suzuki (our young leaders).

I'd much rather have this deal than a late first round pick.
