still not as bad as my thinking that Caron, Ruel and Karsums would be solid NHL`ers![]()
Does that even exist? Ovechkin in his first 5-6 years. Right now, Tarasenko maybe or Seguin? Probably depends on what qualify has "flashy", but I would say flashy and goals scorer in the NHL are two things that doesn't fit togheter often.

That would be "potentially" missed opportunity.
DeBrusk and ZS perception - both fair and unfair - will have as much to do with their own performance as that of Barzal and Connor, whom were passed on in favor of whom Sweeney chose to take instead.
It is hard for me personally to not see Connor tear up NCAA and be considered one of top 5 NHL prospects (pre draft 16) and see DeBrusk who salvaged an OK reg season with a fantastic playoffs, and STILL feel Bruins took wrong guy.
I felt it on draft night and have yet to be proven wrong - maybe and hopefully that happens.
Maybe I pick the wrong word since my native language is not English. What I mean is someone just pick whatever they like and ignore the rest. For example there are people just said he lit it up and his teammates were how awful, that is not the truth. He is really far away from lighting up. What about scoring several beauties and set up others. And I did say I don't care how many you scored before NHL. That is not important. But if you just rely on rushing and speed even you scored 100 in juniors I will be worried. You will never that kind of space in NHL. And I'm not saying he is bad, or don't act like I hate him. I just said that is my concerns and it won't be easy to translate that into NHL career, and he needs to learn a lot. And I did say a lot positive about him, you just ignore it. What I can do ?
What I mean is people just after draft+1 season, one score 45, wow, there are people call him elite prospect and future what what, then the other had an up and down season there are people call him bust. That is ridiculous. I think Jake will be easier to translate to NHL dut to the style. And that is my gut feeling, never said it is right. If one day Seny become what he projected, be a core player in the future cup winning team, I will be very happy for him. Even my beloved Connor become a HOFer, I won't be too sad.
He's the same size and shoots left like Adam Henrique. They both play around the net and are competitive three zone players with a feel for what is going on around them.
We already knew DeBrusk has good hands but the jump in assists is impressive especially since some are killing Sensyshyn for not having enough - what a surprise
I'm going with Henrique here
Count me in on Karsums and Kalus.
DeBrusk = Chuck Kobasew
Dude, I was just re-using the word "flashy" that you had used in your previous post. Use any adjective you want...exciting, flashy, electric, whatever. The point was that the B's have a guy in Senyshyn that is potentially a "sniper" and a guy in DeBrusk that's not as "flashy", but plays a smart, effective game.
In regards to your "flashy goal scorers" don't exist in the NHL comment:
AO, Tank, Seguin, Stamkos, Larkin (speed), T Johnson, Gaudreau, Kucherov, even Pasta, etc., etc.
I consider all of those guys "flashy" in different ways.
Kalus was a tease! He actually performed well up here... then it went all downhill.
Actually wouldn't have surprised me if he made a career here had he stayed within this organization. Heard he had a lot of problems adapting into Minnesota's farm team, which was in Houston (or Iowa?) at the time. He also had a few Czech's here when he was developing, which I think was helpful.
I thought the Bruins screwed up on Kalus. He was pretty good in Providence. They should have left him down there to adapt.
did the Wild too screw him up or maybe he just wasn`t as good as many thought he would be
Point taken. I'll tell you, I saw him dominate down in Providence at times. Saw a crazy snipe in Springfield one night from the top of the right circle on his off wing, that was impressive. Sometimes these kids don't fit outside of hockey. IDK. I don't know what happened in Minny. Home sick????
been watching now almost 40 decades, while living in NFLD, had a chance to watch a ton of AHL hockey, saw some terrific talent down there who`s games never could translate to the pro game
Dominance in the AHL doesn`t always mean the same at the NHL level, ask Jody Gage![]()

This kid gets no love but he had a very strong playoff statistically and will be playing in the Memorial Cup soon.
Haven't seen a lot of him live but the games I've seen and folks I respect who watch him like him.
He strikes me as a guy who's going to be a really good player.
I'm super excited about him but he gets little buzz- he plays down low and battles in every zone
Also WBC8 loved him last year and he is on an epic roll at least in his texts to me the past year getting **** right so not going against Lou and he likes him quite a bit
He played very well in playoffs which is very good sign
Excited the Rebels are in hosting Memorial Cup so can see him
Btw mods can you correct name to Jake
40 decades...400 years? You a hockey vampire?![]()
Looks about the same (size, style, skill set etc) as Andy Hilbert at the same age.
