But he's reached 50 points so his #starts at 7? I get it - cap is going up like 4-5M but at that price there should be better value or I would at least dig around before just resigning him to a lengthy deal like that.

No I think most people here believe the number should be 5.75-6.25, but if they let him go to FA, someone may decide to give him 7 . FA is supply and demand, and there are a lot more teams with money to spend then there are good players in this FA class

If Boston decides not to overpay Jake, they are likely going to overpay someone else by a mil a year and for way to many years

Sweeney would probably rather let Jake go and use his $ to keep both goalies is my guess.

going to be beautiful sunny day in Kevin Weekes or Weeksies Beantown

Great day for a signing or two

DeBrusk 6/40 (better than 30 years old Lindholm 7/63)

Sign Jake & Heinie 3/8.25

Let’s go Donny

We want the Cup (won at home)

DeBrusk:
regular season per 82: 25 - 22 - 47
playoffs per 82: 26 - 19 - 45

Heinen:
regular season per 82: 14 - 21 - 35
playoffs per 82: 10 - 12 - 22

One is a top 6 forward that can score goals, the other is a utility player

Why use 82 game averages instead of season averages?

Heinen should get at least get some credit for being healthier though. Debrusk misses about 15% of the season on average.

Stupid move if he thinks that way, cannot afford 12 mil or more on goalies when we need a couple of good forwards and PP D. Jake in my mind should move on as his inconsistentcy cannot be ignored.

That's pretty standard when looking at career PPG
