Yes, if he wants 6-7M/year, he needs to be consistent. The 1st round talent is there.
He should be a 60pt/year player minimum.
But I'll take it in the "now".

I think Rico nailed his comparable and salary range. Unless he is the Bruins best forward through a lengthy playoff run his aav should almost certainly be less then 6. I'd sign on for 5.5 right now. A good but not great playoff run should keep him between 5.5-5.75.
