You saw a lot of him this year, what’s fair for him from the ducks?
Thats a tough question... you can find posts from me asking for debrusk during the kase/ritchie/Backes trades.... so ive always been a fan of his.

That being said, hes 2 years and UFA.... so there is def risk from anaheim, a team that is in a rebuild... and despite me thinking hell resign and be an effective piece in anaheim... strictly from a trade value perspective that hurts debrusk a bit.

Boston prob wants a 1st + small add
Anaheim prob wants a 2nd + prospect/young player (stee/jones/lacombe/Colangelo etc)

If the ducks are completly done with Comtois... i could see something around comtois for debrusk(some sort of ads in this trade)
- ducks risk debrusk potentially walking in 2 years
- bruins risk comtois not trending back to what he was last year

I think the positive part from both sides are
If the value isnt really there for boston, they can just keep him this year and trade him in the 23 deadline, where they will pretty much get the same, if not better value in a debrusk trade.
From ducks perspective, if they do trade for him, and he isnt willing to resign at the 23 deadline and basically get anything we give up back. .

Anyone trying to sell Sam Steel as anything more than a mid-round pick of value should become a used car salesmen.

Would do Boston’s 2nd round pick and Sam Steel. He needs new scenery, think he can still be a solid 3C on the NHL level. He is still young so has time. 20 points in 68 games with limited mins and no PP time isn’t terrible.
 Cmon dude would you trade DeBrusk for a late 2nd and Sam Steel if he was on the Ducks? A team would beat that easily, Boston would literally have to be giving him away for a deal like that.

Looking through rosters, Anaheim is a good fit for a left winger like Debrusk. I've got to imagine he was the guy going the other way for Rakell, so I assume there's interest.

I could see a trade for returning Boston's 1st but I actually think it will take more than that.

That would take Anaheim out of the running then. I don't have anything against Boston (i'm somewhat of a fan now that you guys have Lindholm), but Anaheim should not be giving up a 1st for Debrusk.

He's probably worth a first but as a ducks fan, nah. He's fairly inconsistent on a good team like the Bruins, he'd probably struggle to do much on a team that struggles to get offensive possession. Maybe if the ducks signed a handful of free agents.
