"Better"?

Well Debrusk is the 1,817,111th most common name and Bertuzzi is the 57,918th most common name.

Bertuzzi also comes before Debrusk alphabetically.

They are both LW's so that is a draw...

Debrusk has more teeth than Bertuzzi.

It is really close based on those metrics.

Is there something specific you would like to concentrate on when analyzing who is better?

(I am just having fun with this response of course..,maybe let us know what you define "better" as?

If this were a homeless person, or trailer park resident competition then Bertuzzi wins hands down…As far as hockey?

They seem pretty similar to me in terms of how they play and what they're good at, so I think you can base an opinion of who's better on who has better production.

DeBrusk:

Bertuzzi:

They have similar PP outputs for their careers. Bertuzzi has averaged six more points per 82 games but has also averaged more than one more minute in ice time per game. Both have missed considerable time due to injuries.

I lean toward Bert... but there can't be much of a difference either way.

DeBrusk is a better goal scorer and a better skater, while Bertuzzi's a better passer/chance generator for his linemates. So depends on what your team needs more.

Similar offensive production, but one is solid defensively and very good on the PK.

Surprised even and can't decide don't have more votes. They both bring different things, but think they have similar value.

I like Bertuzzi, but man debrusk just kills the leafs in every playoff series

I’ll go debrusk but both are solid 2nd liners

I think people are expecting DeBrusk to "break out" a la Hyman or Reinhart.

Canuck fan, voted Debrusk because of his defensive game and penalty killing utility.

On the other hand, they are close enough that if contracts figured in I'd be undecided. The contracts have the same aav but the chances aren't high that the extra three years on Debrusk will be good value.

Bertuzzi isn’t on the leafs anymore. You guys are allowed to say he’s better.

DeBrusk, easy. Bertuzzi is a bit better as a passer/facilitator, but it's not like either is really a big "playmaker" setup man extraordinaire and the overall production is plenty even anyway. So it's like...

1)DeBrusk is the better goal-scorer. Which is the primary function of either guy here.

2)Speeeeeeeed kills.

3)Defensive play and PK Utility.

4)I'm off all Bertuzzis. Period. Sorry bruh. Not his fault his uncle was a dirtbag, but Tyler hasn't exactly done much to dispel the notion he might be a bit of one too.

Either one could breakout like Hyman. If Debrusk breaks out, that's a steal of a deal. I truly believe he would have been an Oiler if we had an extra 5M in cap space

I like debrusk character better, so him

By character are you talking about when he pissed and moaned and demanded a trade to get his coach fired, and the coach then went on to immediately win a Cup?

... Or are you talking about when he no-shows team meetings?
