Voracek was bad, and he dragged the two kids down with him instead of being the steadying influence for them.
Voracek blew numerous scoring chances, refusing to take wide open shots, forcing passes that were intercepted or disrupted.
It's the way he plays when he's in a funk, he tries to do too much, and Patrick and Lindblom aren't going to challenge him.
Voracek flubbing scoring opportunities, turning the puck over, failing to back check.
Have I missed anything?
Though Voracek has been really, really bad the first two games, and it does make sense to shake things up, either he's injured or he's in a mental funk. If the latter, maybe G can shake him out of it.
Just pointing out that Voracek has the worst advanced stats of any player, so he should be "called out" as a terrible veteran.
Yeah, Hakstol should ream Voracek and his -18.4 CorsiRel to the press.
Along with MacDonald -9.2, Ghost -6.9 and Provorov -5.2.
Nitpicking once again, both top lines are playing below par, Voracek is in an awful funk and dragging his linemates down (4 SC for, 16 against when he was on the ice against the Avs), so why wouldn't you make a change? It's not like Voracek hasn't played with G and Couts before, and as Stizzle points out, Patrick and TK are tight.
Voracek gets worse each year, he either can't or won't shoot, and it hurts the two young players on his line and it hurts the PP.
I don't give anyone free passes, I just don't exaggerate like many of the clowns who post here.
Folin had an awful first period, Voracek had an awful game, Provorov had a bad game.
All three are factual assertions that pass both the eyeball and analytic tests.
But if Folin doesn't get a pass, why should Voracek and Provorov?
The Patrick line has been pretty dismal to start the season, but given how well they played last year, I'd give them time before concluding that last year was a Weise/Weal (who had a good stretch to finish 2016-17) phenomenon. However, Voracek really looks bad, someone needs to give him a wakeup call.
Patrick, Voracek, Lindblom were awful, especially Voracek (4 scoring chances for, 16 against).
Folin actually had a 50% CF, 7-6 SCF/SCA, whereas MacDonald and Provorov both struggled
Hagg might have been our best defenseman
Colorado is really quick on the attack, they're gonna make a lot of defensemen look bad, but what cost the Flyers this game was the inability of our top skill players to finish in the offensive zone, Giroux, Konency and Ghost blew a bunch of chances, but the worst offender was Voracek, who looked like dog crap. Colorado is an awful defensive team, you have to take advantage of the scoring chances they give you.
Just saw this. Can't believe it happened again. The curse has been lifted on @bennysflyers16
I wonder if jake reads the menu.
I stand behind everything deadhead said if he supports bowls.Jake is definitely bowl, not cone. You rule, Jake!
