You may want to look at Primeau's numbers, they were as good as Fowler's.Not like Fowler.

He has earned it.Primeau won 19 games out of 22. Fowler will get some game. But Primeau will play in the playoff.
Bro, compare their USHL numbers, not even close. That’s why Primeau was a 7th round pick and Fowler was a third rounder and projected by many as the best goalie in his draft. They were not considered same level prospects. You may want to look at Primeau's numbers, they were as good as Fowler's.
I think Fowler is legitimate but Primeau had 2 outstanding NCAA seasons, numbers very comparable.Bro, compare their USHL numbers, not even close. That’s why Primeau was a 7th round pick and Fowler was a third rounder and projected by many as the best goalie in his draft.
I understand but they were not considered same level prospects.I think Fowler is legitimate but Primeau had 2 outstanding NCAA seasons, numbers very comparable.
I think Fowler is a winner and could develop into a great goalie. It will take a few seasons, high end goalie prospects should not be rushed.I understand but they were not considered same level prospects.
The only insider is Kent Hughes we should all know that by now.I like how insiders were saying he wouldn't play for Laval as late as a few hours ago.
Well we've already had a PTO this season so ATO must mean Another Try Out.Then I'm confused at why it's called an ATO vs a PTO, but whatever...
Love it.Yea, Habs are a good organization that treats their prospects well. I remember when Evans went back for a 4th year of college, everyone was panicking because they felt he would bolt. The Habs were a bad team and everyone thought he would opt to sign elsewhere. He ended up signing with Habs, and he said he was always going to sign with MTL because they 1) took a chance on him by drafting him and 2) they were in constant communication with him. So he felt like he mattered even if he was their final pick of that draft.
And yet they seem to be exactly the same. It just sounds like some bureaucrat classification. Unfortunate, would have pretty cool if NCAA players could do ATOs and still pursue their studies afterwards.ATO is Amateur Try Out. PTO is Professional Try Out.

Fowler is “their guy”, Primeau is not. Not that difficult to predict what will happen here (Fowler will get a couple of games now and if he plays well . . .). The priority is to get Fowler NHL ready ASAP.
We may all like Fowler. But he isn’t coming with the same pedigree as 31. Price was already deemed an exceptional goalie at 19.They moved Halak to make room for Price in Hamilton so I don't see why they wouldn't here

And he did it an year younger. Might be perfect duo in Laval, maybe Cayden can be a sort of mentor of what went wrong for him.You may want to look at Primeau's numbers, they were as good as Fowler's.
Suzuki, Hutson, Demidov, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Guhle, Fowler, and hopefully Reinbacher. Turning out to have a hell of a young core
To be fair, MB got Suzuki through dumb luck, he didn’t even want himTwo things:
1) we should give MB some credit because Suzuki, Caufield, and Guhle are his regime's moves.
2) Suzuki went 13th, Caufield went 15th, Guhle went 16th. And they are examples that you can still pick key pieces in that range. You even look at other teams, Jarvis went 13th to CAR. Holloway went 14th to EDM, but he's got 63 pts in 77 GP in STL. McAvoy went 14th to BOS. Connor went 17th to WPG.
If you draft well, you will find these types of key pieces for your franchise.
I know. Pretty ridiculous to think they’d hand the reigns to Fowler this year. Primeau is like, 19-2! And not all of those were easy wins either. No chance Fowler is the starting goalie for the playoffs. In the playoffs, winning becomes more important than prospect development. The best goalie in the ahl gives a much better chance of winning than the goalie with 0 pro games.
Can we please change header to rumor until it's official?
