Prospect Info: Jacob Bryson (2017, 99th) signed 3 year ELC, ATO with Rochester

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

If he’s the #7 going forward, then extending him is roughly as silly as signing some other random guy we’ve never heard of with a similar lack of impact.

Hell, I can see the “this is your big move Kev? sell the team now” in that players thread already. We’re just wired to want the opposite of whatever they do at this point.

Hey, put some respect on DiSimone’s name!!! He has over half the points of Bryson in a quarter of the games!

Well, we don’t want to start doing things that good teams do. Look I’m not upset over Bryson, but seems like an easy player (we have had no success with) to switch out for a different part
This management also has done nothing to earn our trust. Of course, we all believe this is a precursor to something bad. We've been conditioned that way for so long.

You can't survive or make the playoffs with Jacob Bryson. We keep saying if he's #8 or in Rochester, like ok, I still don't like him. BUT, Bryson play is top 4 or third pair every f***ing season, every single time and they keep renewing him, Adams is a dumb asshole.

Samuelsson is made of glass...No way the top 6 defense stays healthy. He will be in the Sabres line up most nights.

Yeah, it happens every season, I don't even want Bryson to be #7. Samuelsson gets hurt, someone else gets hurt and we see Bryson playing in the top 4. He has no edge or utility in his game. At least Gilbert was physical and fought, Bryson is just useless.

Bryson is the second longest-tenured Sabre after UPL - both taken in the 2017 draft, but UPL went two rounds ahead.

That's something.

You know how analytics are supposed to help identify players that do little things that help the team win, that might not show up on the scoreboard?

I think Bryson does a lot of little things to help lose the game that don’t often show up on the scoreboard. He’s absolutely horrible. He skates very well, and that’s where my list of positives end.
