Hot take, but I'm liking JBD over K'Andre Miller this season. Not only is Miller being paired with a stud in Fox, but he's one of the least intelligent players ever, and isn't cost controlled anymore.

I don't think it's a big loss for the Senators, because even if you really like JBD as a player, it doesn't matter if the Senators weren't going to use him in a greater role. He plays less than 10 minutes some nights, which for a defenseman is nothing.

If he is out for a considerable time, the timing o it sucks more for him than it does for the team. He seemed like a player that might get moved somewhere else eventually. If he is out for the season, or out beyond the deadline, he might miss out on a chance to showcase himself on a different team.

Not worried about him being out but I’m a bit more concerned with us having 0 depth right now at any position. We always run through multiple injuries every single year and we’re lucky none of the top guys are out but this is still an issue.

Depth is far better than last year but still an issue. Dorion left the team in a tough spot.

I think scoring is an issue but some of that is by design. After the losing streak Green wanted the team to concentrate on defense and they have done a good job at that for the most part. But as a result guys are staying in the D zone longer and not taking as many chances allover the ice. As a result they aren't getting as many opportunities to score.
They being said a bunch of guys are sucking offensively right now. Tkachuk is by far the leader in creating expected goals 5 x 5. Whereas Batherson and Norris have been just OK this season and poorer the last 10 games. Timmy is sucking at goal scoring 5 x 5 . One even strength goal in 15 games and he's not creating chances either.
