Traded to the Angels after the 1988 season, Blyleven went 17-5 with a 2.73 ERA in 1989 at age 38. He retired in 1992 after 22 seasons, finishing with 3,701 strikeouts, 287 victories, 60 shutouts and 242 complete games. Blyleven was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2011.
