This is all about arbitration and not wanting to go to arbitration for a borderline NHLer who got hot for a couple of weeks.

11 goals in arbitration = 1.5 M award or so I would guess.

Yeah. Definitely what it looks like to me. Combined with...Columbus already have plenty of offensive guys, probably more better guys trying to establish themselves than roster spots.

Can't just keep a hundred marginal scoring role guys and expect to make progress. Have to identify which ones to keep and put in a position to succeed and which to move on from. Especially not if the arbitration award was going to be silly because of a little hot streak after years of failing.
