Is it part being goalies and part not getting enough quality scoring opportunities? 40 shots year but what's the xGF in this game?

They ended up with 5.67 xGF. That's one of the highest totals I've seen this year, for any team. Not every team playing the Sharks gets that many chances.

I hope the Jackets call it "winning hockey" like they did after the first few games and move on to the next one.

Edit: I'm just seeing the second half of the game now and this is real chances - Chinakhov with a clean look from the dot, Monahan with a wide open one-timer from between the hashmarks, Voronkov with that sick between the legs tip, etc.. etc.. - they were doing it right.

Wennberg danced around 3 of them and sniped it top corner.:(

It looks like he looked up ice and saw Werenski on the left and the two forwards on the right and decided to split the forwards.

This is bigger than what many of you think.

This is what the “league” thinks of Elvis. I promise you there are more “reads” they have learned.

Every time there's an interview with a guy who shot against his former goalie, he knows the spot. Maybe Helle is the only goalie who they don't have a spot on. Even Vasi has that low blocker. This is not a special thing.

Blue jackets looked better last night, i know they were playing the Sharks. a few soft calls on us didn't help. Fantilli with no puck luck ( all alone in the slot and his stick breaks LMAO! ) Elvis looked good

I don't expect creative hockey, other than the first line they are focused on vertical hockey. But it seems to me that we weren't that fast.

The power play is missing Kent Johnson.

Overall, I'm happy, if we don't make childish mistakes, on the contrary we fight, I won't say one bad word to the
team in that case.
