Good time for a break for Woll. Some workload management would be advisable given his history and that this is new territory for him in terms of GP. Getting tonight off gives him a nice 5 day break until Saturday.

BTW it's cool how his minutes played so far this season is almost exactly the same as last season, down to the seconds.

Looking forward to watching Marchenko and Werenski. I've had my eye on Marchenko and he seems legit, interested to see how Matthews contains him tonight.

Last time we played them we laid an absolute stinker. Hildeby was ass, team was worse and somehow that version of Robertson scored

Show up, on time, and be engaged for the entire game and we should at least get a point. Might need to provide some goal support for Hildeby though.

Quillan has six goals and nine assists in 35 games with the Marlies this season, but has been hot lately, scoring five points — three of which are goals — in as many games. He's mostly centered AHL Toronto's third line under head coach John Gruden this season.

"I really believe that he continues to grow. Like, he's understanding the game's not played all at one speed. He has great speed," Gruden said last week. "To understand how to change gears, and when to attack, he's done a really good job."

Pacioretty has been a pleasant surprise this season. Can't say I'm happy about this Never thought I'd be a fan of this guy but I am.

Columbus always seems to catch us off guard and blitzes us for a bunch of goals early. Would be nice for that to not happen this go around and for the Leafs to be ready and rearing to go from puck drop.

Columbus has lost their last two, but before that they had won the previous six. They've played well, but have struggled the last two games... The key is not letting them get into the game, and a quick start. They've scored one goal the last two games... so don't let them get started.

We have a bit of a problem starting quickly, and right... that can't happen tonight.

Play like they did Monday and they'll be fine.

He had a nice start to the season, but it's kind of come undone with him. Six points in the first eight games was great. Over the last 24 games, he's only put up points in 4 games. Six points in the last 24 games isn't so good, particularly when three points were in one game. I'm not sure what we'd need to do to get him back on track, if we can.

It was interesting at the Christmas break, he was really emphasizing how he needed the time to reset. We were busy, but he was clearly indicating the grind was too much for him. I spot him rest of the way so he has something left for the playoffs. He's playing so physical too.

Not to propose abuse of LTIR or anything, but he's a prime candidate to put on the shelf until the playoffs. Or at minimum... a few games here and there, and rest. We don't really need him for the regular season, but the player we had for the first couple of weeks would be useful.
