I don't think that's the point being made, its that some of our top defensive forwards are missing and so maybe team defense would have been better and we would have had more possession and/or fewer defensive breakdowns. That's not an excuse for George or Annunen, they have both been abysmal, but our team D hasn't been stellar either and those guys may have helped stop an opportunity or two.

But the defense has been fine. We’ve given up 44 shots in 2 games and only given up 16 high danger chances so far. Giving up 14 goals under those circumstances is unthinkably bad. The defense essentially has to give up no chances at all to give the team a chance rich now and that’s just not possible.
