Are you small? heavier guys with more muscle mass get up from these we see regularly
No they don’t. Guys get up from more glancing or lower speed Impacts to the boards, but guys who hit the boards that directly and with that force are lucky if they escape injury.

Open Season on Devils star players.

Everyone just standing around watching their franchise player get taken out into the boards.

I dont care if its accidental, or with zero intent, you gotta let everyone know that nobody is even allowed to breath near your superstars.

Pathetic

Brilliant take!

Completely give up on the game, get the coach fined $10K and a player suspended for starting a fight in the final 5 minutes of a game.

But hey, at least a message would've been sent.

Devils are under .500 over their last 25 games.

If Hughes is done or even playing hurt the rest of the way, they're cooked.

Metro division is an absolute mess. The only two teams with 6 wins in their last 10 are Columbus and the Rangers. Jersey will take a hit because of this, but the path to the playoffs is still wide open because all the teams suck.

Oh and my bad, it was Hannifin that kicked out Hughes' skates and tripped him up causing him to hit the boards.

I thought leafs fans were a bit hyperbolic with Keefe and McCauley, but nope, they were dead on. McCauley is a dipshit that has real personal beef with Keefe and lets it dictate how he calls Keefe coached games.

Hughes got called on a penalty that was two players tying each other up when crashing to the net on a back check from Hughes, and Hughes fell and took the guys skates out, penalty (they got scored on from it), Hughes gets his skates kicked out and flies into the boards, and nothing called.

sucks. He has elite skill but physically not built for the nhl.

Jesper Bratt is an example how a small guy can survive and thrive in the NHL. He plays a very similar style to Jack, but, and I really feel like, and I have to emphasize the "but" here, he worked hard on his strength one off season after the other. Lower body and core. Jack on the other hand... and now we could be at worst facing a career ending injury, and or at best, another offseason that he cannot condition himself to better handle the contact of the NHL.

The guy to whom belongs the head on which Mike Danton put a bounty on.

Keefe was a teammate of Danton.

Frost was also tried for sexual misconduct towards Danton, amongst others.

Keefe testified for the Crown in that case.

No he didn't. Sheldon Keefe was one of Frost's boys and testified in Frost's favour. That's why he was blackballed as a coach for so long. Please do not spread false information, thanks.

Cool story. Hanifin did nothing wrong on that play, either. Your unhinged earlier take about it being Eichel ends up with the same result - neither player did anything wrong. Hughes fell and hit the boards awkwardly.

What on earth do you want McCauley to do? The proper move was to do nothing. You making this into some grand conspiracy is . . . something.

Can someone clear this up?

I see this presented as both sides. Some articles say he testified FOR Frost. Some say he testified AGAINST Frost.

With that said, is there any indication that McCauley's wife even has any bit of love for her brother? I have never seen anything that would indicate that other than when Leafs fans went insane into the conspiracy theory bag.

Interesting piece from Paul Stewart:
