Who will get goals taken away now? Bummer but shouldn't be too bad of a recovery. Jack's a solid role player but one we can likely be fine without in the short term. Jost should be a decent enough fill in other than faceoffs where Jack has been pretty good.

Month plus based on semi known similars. But I am neither a medical guy nor stayed at a holiday inn express

Centre depth was already thin and it gets a lot more thin now. Great opportunity for KK to show he can handle the 2c for an extended period of time cause there’s nobody else taking his spot unless they make a trade. One good thing about Drury’s injury is he can still skate at least

My understanding is there is no cap benefit for going on IR. It's only LTIR where that comes into play. The only benefit to IR is that the player on IR doesn't count toward the roster limit.

So, if Jack (or I suppose it could have been Ghost or Freddie) wasn't on IR, you'd have 24 and be one over the 23 man roster limit when all those guys, including Stillman (who seems to be the designated make sure we have a guy available on game day just in case while Smith is up), are up.
