A few years ago when I was nominal supervisor of an IT customer service late night shift, sometimes I noticed that the talky-talk was getting too much and the worky-work was piling up in the queue. If, after dropping a couple hints to the crew, they still weren't hopping to it, I'd grab all the items in the queue and start banging them out.
And then wait until someone asked "what happened to the inbox?" and I'd casually say "I got it."
That was usually all I ever had to do or say to get us on the right track for a while.
I bet a slice of pizza that Kane goes and brute-forces a hattie for himself tonight. I really want to see some leadership on the ice, system bedamned.
