Because he will never, ever, let go of the narrative he has already created. Everything is Laine’s fault.
You're absolutely right. It's just so odd to experience.

Laine should’ve put that puck in the net for Newhook too. What a nice pass by Laine there to find the pinching dman. You're absolutely right. It's just so odd to experience.
We don’t need the cap space he got one year left just ride it out…Try trading him at 50% retained first, but if we have a pay to make it happen, then the buyout solution is certainly the right avenue and not a big impediment to our future cap. 3.9mil next season, 2.667 the final year, which is just a tad worst than trading him 50% retained.
Yeah, Martin ''Rotenberg'' St-Louis has been dissapointing so far. It's like he doesn't adapt and is afraid to make bold changes. This is a learning experience and the young guys should be playing more instead the old veterans that will not return next year.MSL needs to be less conservative with him and play him in key offensive situations + PP.
The kids knows how to play and is responsible enough to handle it. He's not your typical 19 year old.
When Hutson joined the team, he instantly became our top 3 players. I thought that would happen to Demidov too (who is more hyped than Hutson). I'm bit disappointed here. I understand that I'm not reasonable. I know that I don't make sense to demand a rookie to perform great in playoffs.
Before Demidov joins the team, I thought he's our 2nd or 3rd best forward, but unfortunately it's not the case. He's not like Hutson or Caufield when they join the team and had an instant impact.

Dude, he's 19 years old and played 2 NHL games before these playoffs. He was drafted less than 10 months ago. When Hutson joined the team, he instantly became our top 3 players. Not really no. These two players have nothing in common. Slaf could barely take a shift in the NHL at Demidovs age.Dissapointing once again, he looks lost out there.
Demidov is a bust to me.
He is not that guy, ok 2nd liner, but a tweener that is afraid of physical contacts.

Am I doing this right @Mrb1p ?
MSL just loves Newhook, Demidov is hooped will never get the dorks minutes.MSL needs to be less conservative with him and play him in key offensive situations + PP.

This isn't a conscious decision though, and pretty much comes down to Demidov's positioning not being open at the right time. It will improve with time and practice because it's mostly a question of routes. They need to give Demidov the puck more often. He should be the main puck carrier on his line.
I'm not going to rag on what SMarty is turning out to be, but he wont change anything until it's an obviously failure on several universes. It's a bad spot for him. He's had an exceptional season in the KHL then he gets put in the lion's den after playing only 2 NHL games. The season is on the line and he has to play with Laine...
I thought Leonard had a better game than Demidov, slightly better impact. More involved in the plays.Ryan Leonard is doing absolutely nothing in Washington right now. I mean Leonard has no impact at all on washington side. He remains a good player. He is just young. It the same thing for Demidov. At 19 years old, starting in the playoff. It's normal that he is looking like a deer on a highway
Busta Paradise is a place where many hockey fans sit ... when they look in a mirror.Looks like a BUST to me at this point.
