:sarcasm:

I really hope that he gets here and plays Friday but it seems like a stretch.
If they’re gonna burn a year off the cheap ELC then you better get him as many games possible here before playoffs.

The burnt year seems like a Hughes MO to re-sign his young stars early, to get cap savings in the future.

Besides, we'll have so much liberated and limit-growth -added cap space in the next two years that cheap ELCs to star players will be irrelevant, especially since we'll have many other ELCs filling up other positions and reducing our cap burden (Dobes, Reinbacher, Heineman, Kapanen, Beck, Hage, Fowler, Engstrom), by replacing more costly players like Armia, Dvo, Gally, Anderson, Savard and Matheson.

he plays monday night
book it first game

Chicago at home as the team hurtles forward trying to secure a playoff spot. And 1st game for the most anticipated player since Guy Lafleur. Only way this gets better is if it was a Saturday night. That is going to be some crazy kind of night at the Centre Bell.

From Redux91 to Demidov91
Fedorov91 was my Idol growing up :D

I was so partial to the Russians in the mid 90's, they were so dazzling to me as a child
Fedorov w/ Red wings, Yashin w/ Senators, Kovalev w/ Rangers, Bure w/ Canucks
Our own Petrov, There was Mogilny, who always seemed like a fake Russian to me lol

They really marked my childhood lol, and once Kovy joined the Habs it was like forget about it lol (both Kovy's you could say I guess :D)

Yeah safe to say, the 'Russian Factor' never really scared me off in my lifetime

Funny enough if he only plays our last 2 games I'm pretty sure he only burns an ELC year if we make the 2nd round.

Too bad the only early Soviet pick by the
Habs was ceremoniously taking Tretiak. Redwings of course built their dynasty on the Soviet players they took.

Demidov supposes to be as good as Celebrini, more or less. Adding a player of this caliber at this time of the year is a great boost to the team. Oh boy, it will be a great spring !
