Why is demidov better than me at hockey!!!?
Reminds me of people calling Desharnais '"Desh!!!!!" Back in the day...
I think his goal the other week was nicer actually lolProbably the highlight goal of the year in the KHL imo.
I put this one in the same category of Ovi's back hand when he scored flat out lying on the ice.
Sergei Samsonov on Ivan Demidov:
''I was very happy to meet him in Las Vegas. And I've only seen good things about him. He's a good guy who smiles everytime. His positive energy reminds me Alexander Ovechkin which I played with at Dynamo Moscow during the 2004/20025 lockout.''
''Demidov is already a pro in different aspects. Late or sooner he'll make the light being red in the NHL nets.''
''I compare him also to Kirill Kaprizov who's able to create plays.''
''However, we shouldn't make too much pressure to these young players who are coming to the league. In Canada it happens so much. I wish that Montreal will take of this situation very brightly. It's not eveybody that have success direclty. Even the first round picks need time to be at the best potential.''
Wouldn’t hurt to have another Russian aroundThe good news is Demidov is not coming to an island by himself. There are plenty of talent for him to work with and MSL is going to protect him well.

Habs should bring in Markov to spend the first year in MTL with him.True but who is that guy and where does he play?
Malkin, expiring contract, Russian, slots in at 2C and is a LH shot to boot, which the team lacks at center.True but who is that guy and where does he play?

It’s called game breaking talent. We haven’t really had it since Price. It starts to feel like Habs have multiple of these type of "supernatural" players, like Lane and Demi. And Laine with his crazy shot. Maybe Dobes on goal will be known as such as well shortly. Such players are definitely good to have. They can make impossible-seeming things happen.
So weird to be able to watch Demi in a Habs uniform already next season.
Of all the Russians, Samsonov is the one that probably had the worst experience in Montreal. It was a terrible signing by Gainey. Might be his worse. Samsonov because of wrist/hand/arm? injuries he couldn’t shoot while he was in Montreal. Fans “hated” him because of the fact he couldn’t score. I’m surprised he doesn’t say something more negative about the Habs.Sergei Samsonov on Ivan Demidov:

not to rain on both of your parades but we got Dvorak for a 2022 - 1st rd (27th) and 2024 - 2nd rd (37th), just saying...Not to rain your parade but @Bombshell11 just text me that we got Filip Mesar at only 26!!
If I'm the Habs, I would be keeping a close eye on these 3 FA's,True but who is that guy and where does he play?
Yup...In the KHL.Mesar will be a good 1st liner elsewhere i think
Too cocky, bench his ass.
