Prospect Info: Ivan Demidov (2024 5th OA): SKA St. Petersburg (KHL): Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

You are probably trolling, and this is way off topic, but here you go :

A good way to compare players across generations and universes is by looking at their trophy cases. After all, an MVP is an MVP, it adjusts to the standard level of play. So is a scoring title.

So here Crosby has a respectable 2 Harts and as many Art ross.

Gretzky has 9 Harts and 10 Art Ross.

There is no debate my dude. Gretzky is the most untouchable GOAT in North American sports.
Disagree on that one, I think Mario was better

Could be worse. Like be sent to Sochi to lose 75% of games.

I watched both alot and imo Lemieux was alot more dominant but injuries and cancer ruined what could of been a better career

Not liking recent developments concerning our boy over in Russia. Not sure if he’s just sick of Rotenberg and has decided to mail it in, or if he’s hit a wall because of the grind of the season. Either way, it isn’t good.

Before when Rotenberg drastically cut his TOI, he was still playing good - hustling, working hard, generating chances left and right in the time he got. That no longer seems to be the case.

It’s a shame too because it was really looking like he was going to end up with 60+ points and head into the playoffs on a tear. Now, you wonder if he’ll even get a single additional point in the remainder of the season, and the way things are going, Rotenberg has the excuse to just bench him or scratch him for the playoffs - it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Since when has Rotenberg drastically cut his ice time? Demidov has averaged 16 minutes the past 5 games.

Demidov looks worn down a little bit. He's a 19 year old kid in his first season vs men..... it's perfectly normal.

I actually hope Rotenberg limits his ice time the last 3 games. Give Demidov some rest before the intense playoffs begin.

Add forsberg to that list. Its almost freaky how he and Lindros were traded for eachother and ended up having VERY similar statistical careers.

Forsberg, Kariya, Lindros, the 1990s were a cemetery to potentially historic players.

But at least it led to them changing the rules.

I said BEFORE when Rotenberg drastically cut his ice time. His ice time has been cut recently as well, but my point was that there is a difference between his play now vs when his ice time was cut before, which you just acknowledged.

Again, maybe he is worn down a bit, or maybe he is fed up with Rotenberg’s antics, that was the question I was posing.

Imo, it could be either one, a bit of both, or he could just be slumping. However, it’s a bit too much of a coincidence that this little skid coincides with Rotenberg cutting his ice time, and it seems like an even further coincidence that Rotenberg decided to cut his ice time shortly after he took over the scoring lead for the team, which he still has despite the slide.
