Yup. Crosby > Gretzky and it's not even close for me, i don't care about the inflated stats, my eye test tells me everything i need to know. Go watch Gretzky highlights they suck, and nobody was allowed to hit him hard or rough him up. Gretzky would have litteraly died if he got 1/4 of the abuse Sid the Kid had to endure. Please.
Cant compare generation, just not sure if you are trolling but ok bud.

You are probably trolling, and this is way off topic, but here you go :
A good way to compare players across generations and universes is by looking at their trophy cases. After all, an MVP is an MVP, it adjusts to the standard level of play. So is a scoring title.
So here Crosby has a respectable 2 Harts and as many Art ross.
Gretzky has 9 Harts and 10 Art Ross.
There is no debate my dude. Gretzky is the most untouchable GOAT in North American sports.

I mean, for ANYONE who wants to see for themselves, go look at his highlight-reels, it's ridiculous. He'll blow by 2 guys hacking him with one guy hooking him, make them all look stupid and score a beauty....on that we agree...
...I watched his entire career, as I did with Gretzky, and Mario is the greatest player I've personally ever seen play...no one took over a game like he did...
...now, let's get back to DEMIDOV, peeps...

Thank you, I don't understand these Gretzky fan boys. At all. I've watched both players as well and there's no comparison. For those who want to freshen up their memory, go look at Gretzky's goal highlight reels, they are shit and none of that would work today. I have Mario, Sid the Kid and even McDavid ahead of Gretzky. That's my opinion. I'll leave it at that, Back to Demidov.
Not liking recent developments concerning our boy over in Russia. Not sure if he’s just sick of Rotenberg and has decided to mail it in, or if he’s hit a wall because of the grind of the season. Either way, it isn’t good.
Before when Rotenberg drastically cut his TOI, he was still playing good - hustling, working hard, generating chances left and right in the time he got. That no longer seems to be the case.
It’s a shame too because it was really looking like he was going to end up with 60+ points and head into the playoffs on a tear. Now, you wonder if he’ll even get a single additional point in the remainder of the season, and the way things are going, Rotenberg has the excuse to just bench him or scratch him for the playoffs - it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Can't wait for Demidov to be out of that environment and here in Montreal. He'll finally be treated with the respect he deserves and will get ice time consistently.
I think you're worrying way too much.
I’m not worrying - at the end of the day it’s just sports. It’s an observation. But how many games in a row now has he been held pointless, 6? 7? Like I said, there’s a big contrast between his play during this stretch, and his play before, and it isn’t just the points.
Bobby Orr for me , Mario, McDavid , Wayne after that. I have had the pleasure to watch them all play that’s my ranking. Demidov maybe makes the list ?
If he’s done with the team and the team is done with him then whatever
He is clearly going to be a great player, a month or two isn’t going to change that
Well, It’s not a good thing whatever the case may be, and there’s clearly been some kind of change for the worse. That’s all I’m saying.
Who cares… his contract there ends May 31st and then the Habs will sign him
Is he actually playing? Are there any updates or is this still just a cesspool of a discussion about generational players?
He played yesterday. Only had ~11:00 TOI. He did get 2:00 on the power play though.
This is a thread about the Habs best prospect…on the Habs board. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that some are going to care what’s going on with him.
