In Montreal, with a two-game scoreless slump like he is currently having, fans would be clamouring that he needs to be sent to Laval to develop properly, that Hughes is ruining this jewel by keeping him up in Montreal.

No, because Demidov wasn't rushed to the NHL.

50-60 points seems about right.

I see what a guy like Lucas Raymond did in his 2 first years and what he's doing this year and I don't see why Demidov couldn't become a play driving winger and a top 10-20 point scorer in the league by the time he's 21-22.

Which is crazy to say as a habs fan because we've never had a forward prospect like this in some of our lifetimes and we've been programmed to just assume the worst for decades. Don't get me wrong Suzuki and Caufield are great but I think this kid can be better

I mean why not us? For once. It would be nice no?
I think Demidov is a little bit better then Raymond but yes it’s a really good comparison

I might be in the minority here but I believe rhe kid will flirt with PPG next season.

There was calculation, I'm too lazy to find it, but it was basically saying a KHL point is worth .74 of an NHL point. If you look at that stretch where demidov had approximately 17 minutes he was almost 1.4 points per game.

He will not get ass f***ed by the habs in terms of ice time and PP time the way he currently is and he will be paying with laine, cole, big dick Nick. Its going to have a ripple effect on all of their points totals, and he will be a year older, a year stronger. A year more experienced

The kid is special.

I will take a breath when I will see him in Montréal Trudeau airport.....not before...

With this regime in Russia...situations with players are all different and things can change in a heatbeat.

it is normal to be a bit worry

It's mentality like yours that is more harmful to Russians than anything else.
The amount of players drafted lower, or passed-over entirely because of needless fearmongering is significant.

Russia is like any other country in that players know the NHL as the place to be.
If a 'Russian factor' exists, its because the KHL is typically viewed as a better alternative to the AHL. But obviously that is insignifant for players of Demidov's calibre.

All I say is in fact I am 95% confident that he will come over after the season but I am just a bit worry and I will take a breath once he will be here for real

At least Demidov is getting good ice time thus far.
With Kuznetsov, Gritsyuk, Bardakov, Tolchinsky all out, this is a great opportunity for him to take it to another level, put the team on his shoulders.
