He is a LHD, but at 6'3 could be an interesting target for the Habs. Depending on who they plan to sign and whatnot, as the d group is crowded right now.

Weird path for this one. Like many, Covid screwed a big development year, but he was still selected #4 in the OHL priority draft. Was pretty meh in the GOJHL and then went to the QMJHL.
Always weary of big guys dominating as 20 years old. Not much online as far as scouting reports go.

Could be a late bloomer. Could just be that he's 20 and big and that's why it's finally coming together.
Could give this guy an AHL deal at the end, or for next year as I doubt there will be a big fight over him, unless he keeps this pace going and maybe a little more.

With Demidov incoming next season, I wonder if they will look to bring in some Russians. They could sign his brother, or his teammate from last year Vladislav Romanov who this season mostly plays on a line with Demidov's brother in the VHL.
Another is undrafted FA, Danil Aimurzin, he's having a big year turns 23 at the end of the season, his KHL contract is up at the end of the season.

I understand but Honestly I red the same kind of comments few years ago with Panarin.
Remember Montréal was in the mix at the end with Chicago.
Another Russsian., .undersize etc..
At the time nothing was sure cause the dude was not even drafted as well
Shabanov could surprise à lot of people and he will be a better llayer than Newhook from the get go

And Panarin is an exception, look at the Gusev/Shipachev/Plotnikov and cie who many thoughts they would come and have a major impact
