A stronger, faster and harder-working Ribeiro might actually be the perfect description lol. Why are you all so mad about that? Mike Ribeiro with +10 skating, +10 intensity, +10strength, and +10 defensive play would have been a top 5 player every single year...
Thats a good comparison. Ribeiro had elite offensive hockey IQ and passing but was less than average for everything else. Not sure why is everyone offended about that comparison which is spot on. Demidov really looks like Ribeiro without most of his weaknesses. As you said, that ends up making a pretty darn good player.

Yeah I really don't get it. Mike Ribeiro with the work ethic of TJ Oshie is like the ideal NHL player. It's hardly a criticism lol.

So not Ribeiro at all? That’s like saying McDavid is a faster, better passer, better shooter, higher IQ RNH. It’s not RNH anymore so this comparison is beyond useless.

Try to actually find a player that has a similar skillset to Demidov is much harder than « Ribeiro with +10 this, +10 that, oh yeah and +5 this » what kind of non sense is that?

I would go with a Panarin comparison. High-end skill, elite vision, and the ability to break open a game. They have similar frame too. I think he is more like Panarin than Kaprizov (the comp I see thrown around a lot in this thread): he thrives on making slick passes, dangling around and setting up teammates in high-danger areas (just watch his game against Chicago, you will understand). A lot like Panarin. Use finesse, deception, and hands to beat defender. Whereas I see Kaprizov more as a shooter and bulldozer kind of player despite is short stature, he is more direct and power driven.

I think he'll have good chemistry with Hutson considering they have the exact same pace and playing style. If the Habs can keep both they'll be tough to play against for a long time. But they need an actual starting goaltender, not Montombet.
