Its time for George Parros to be replaced

Even if this person gets replaced what stops this just from turning into a revolving door of bringing a new person in every time people are not happy with the person running the DOPS.

agreed- The nhl’s brain injury strategy is way bigger than parros and is going to cost them in a big way down the road. Especially now that in this day and age there we know that traumatic blows to the head can be life alteringly devastating.

I understand why people don’t like the hit, but you can’t pretend the parts (i)(ii) and (iii) of rule 48.1 don’t exist.

The players who hit the Ducks in the head would be suspended. Parros loves the Ducks and goes out of his way to protect his former team.

Kevin Fiala boards a guy, gets a game misconduct and kicked out, first-time offender, one of the leading scorers for the Wild. Parros suspends him 3 games! Who is biggest threat to the Ducks getting the fourth and final playoff spot in the West: the Wild.

Coincidence?

I know the second part of your post is a joke but believe me Ducks fans hate this guy for ending Cogliano's iron man streak. A less vicious hit than the one on Kotkaniemi and 0 history gets him 2 games. That suspension broke Cogliano. He just wasn't the same player after he came back.

The Dube hit was debatable but I still don’t get how Tyler Myers wasn’t suspended for his hit on Armia.

cogliano ended his own ironman streak by throwing a dumb ass check to someone's chin 3 strides after the puck was gone.......

I mean hiring enforcers to be head of player safety, shows how little the NHL actually cares about player safety.

It doesn't matter who you put into that job. The PA doesn't like suspensions...it's why NHL suspensions are usually short all things considered, we've just gotten used to them.

He freaking hates the Leafs, our suspension differential since he took over is awful. Not that our suspensions weren't warranted (damnit Kadri) but you'd think just by law of averages someone would be suspended when they injure us.
Can't blame him there....:sarcasm:

Totally agree although I’m not sure how much say he has exactly. Not really a process we are able to see behind closed doors. Would like a complete overhaul to be safe

The NHL deemed it a clean hit because it was a clean hit. End of story. My god the theatrics on this forum

Again the argument of “because the NHL said so” is a weak one. Right up there with “keep your head up”, “league is getting soft”, etc.

Lets not
