Good wheels and shot. If he can play a smart game he has a place here to close out the season
We'll see if he can play a smart game, but I just liked his effort. Combine that with speed and skills and that sounds like a good bottom 6 guy. And it's not like he's a guy who has those attributes and doesn't produce. If he's smart too?

I also like the idea of an offensive wing in Sprong playing with a youngish defensive center who might have some untapped offensive upside. They should complement each others game. Sprong still only 27 too. Maybe we see both back next year.

Congrats we're better than the flyers lol

Still no top line domination, super disappointed
Production wise, this is correct

Quality of play wise, incorrect. They tilted the ice the entire game

No you won't but I still hope they win the next two
If you look at my post this season, I have been pretty positive up until recently. Even when everyone was yelling the sky is falling back in January and early February, I felt we built an a good enough cushion early on that we could withstand a bit of a downturn....

But our leaders haven't come through for more than two months. Jack going down is going to be a massive excuse for this failure and the fact that a #2 has overall can't step in and give us spot duty irritates me almost as much as the disappearing act from top wingers

I thought the first two periods were fine. Very structured game. The 3rd period had a few dicey moments but I wouldn't say this team played bad at all.

That goal Philly scored may have been offsides even but no one wanted to challenge it. Allen was good. Bottom 6 was good, a few decent moments from 1st And 2nd line.

Don't change too much for Tuesday. Mercer taking shots this game.

2 posts in the first half of the game

Do we go back to Nemec in what basically is a playoff gm?

Also, do we ride a hot Allen or a Markstrom finding his game?

Two huge decisions by Keefe
I'm fine with with going back to Markstrom, but we have little margin for error to f*** around.

If Allen is playing better than Markstrom down the stretch, you go with Allen. Just like Kinkaid over Schneider in 2018. For all the crap I've given Hynes, he certainly knew what goalie to play and always made the right decision there. We could have missed the playoffs that year literally just by sitting Kinkaid for one extra game in favor of Cory. I really blasted Keefe last year for giving Samsonov too much rope in their playoff series, then going to Woll too late, which helped, but Woll was hurt by the last game and he had no choice but to go with Samsonov in the game they were eliminated in.

I was surprised they started Allen today, but it was clearly the right choice because you can't lean on Markstrom so hard after coming back from injury. And Allen has played well, aside from a 5 game stretch where he only played like 5 times in 6 weeks or something.

I'd go with Allen one more game and then back to Markstrom for thursday, and give Allen again the Pitts game.

Markstrom was bad last game, good the one before. Maybe he needs a little recoup time still. I wouldn't overwork Markstrom because we will need a healthy and wired Jakob for the push and hopefully playoffs

I'd be very surprised if Markstrom does not get the start.

I missed the past few games before this so I don't know how well Nemec has been playing lately but I thought Cholowski was bad. The fact that we ran 4 lefties today including a barely NHL player in Cholowski is a terrible sign for Nemec.

Don’t look up the 3rd period against Jets then lol. Nemec was tenfold worse than Cho today
