He didn't call either of the goalies a "dipshit". He'd lose his job if he did. Almost certainly lose his clearance to the Hawks locker room too. Same goes for Laz and any of the other beat writers.

Again, you can criticize the article. Like he criticized, fairly or unfairly, the goaltending over the last month. That's not the same thing as calling someone "dipshit" or any other offensive term.

And going and suggesting that I'm "butt hurt" over your comment says a lot more about you then it does me.

Cannot blame goalies for letting in deflection shots...that is strictly on the teammate defenders in front of hom for not covering properly and not shot preventing properly...

However all other types of goals except screened hoalsctpo,where they see the shooter and the shot is pure...those types of goals Are onthe goalies.

To be fair our goalies have let on shot goals,deflected goals, and screenedcgoals...somebody has to do analysis on how may of each of these types plus rebound crrse goals went in in this bad stretch of goaltending g...only when we getvsich a breakdown can we sYif our goalies pkayed worse than expectation,average or better ...but more importantly is to see which goal types wentvi the most and then have the coach decide how to reduce those types...

I wouldn't call Laz a dipshit. I don't feel much for him either way and always found it weird how this board has a hate boner for the man. But there is a still a distinct difference between talking shit about a beat writer that was an active member here just a few months ago to a guy who may not even know this site exists. Good chance one of them sees the post and the other doesn't.

This isn't Twitler, or Instagram, or Facebook where you can talk shit about another person on the platform and just get away with it. There are rules to adhere to. And while Pope's seemingly no longer a member of this forum, it's only because of a technical issue with the forum, and not him bailing out on his own accord.

Attack the post/article, not the poster. Calling someone in this community a dipshit while unprovoked is a bad look, especially when said person's biggest crime is an article many here (myself included) disagree with. It's not like Pope's been argumentative or been an asshole online, it's literally just him writing some articles you didn't care for.
