It’s not too early to fire Kevyn Adams and Lindy Ruff

You could build an all-star team with the players that have slipped through the Sabres grasp over the last decade...at some point a finger has to be pointed at management and especially ownership. If the Sabres were a Restaurant they'd have closed their doors a decade ago with this level of mismanagement

The Lindy Ruff experience, everyone.
Look higher. Wasn't really a fan of bringing him back but it isn't his fault
First Ryan O'Reilly leaves, goes on to win a cup with the Blues.
Then Eichel, our botched future star goes on to win one in Vegas.
Sam Reinhart 50 goals and cup in Florida (amongst other former Sabres. I won't count Okposo, he was traded there specifically to win as his career was winding down)

It's clear it isn't the player's fault at this point.

I had this feeling that Lindy could be the GM and replace Adams as early as this coming offseason.

Maybe he'd do the dual HC/GM role, which we haven't seen in a very long time, outside of when a GM came down to be the interim head coach for the rest of the season after firing the previous head coach.

But now I'm wondering if Lindy Ruff in Buffalo is just gonna wind up being a reunion/retirement tour. Similar to when Hitchcock came back to Dallas for one more year (he replaced Ruff) at the end of his career. Finishing where it all started (he did wind up becoming interim head coach for the Oilers the next season) for him in the NHL. Or even how Jacques Martin came back to Ottawa last year, even though he was just an interim and Ottawa wasn't actually his first head coaching job in the league.

To be fair the rot began when he was here the first time lol...
True, but that was still an ownership issue. His first contending team was destroyed by Rigas not paying Peca, which soured Hasek. His second contending team was destroyed because Larry Quinn wouldn’t commit to long term contracts for Briere and Drury. Tough to win when your only option is to match a god awful offersheet for Vanek.

So yeah, Ruff got a lot out of some flawed rosters, then got undermined by the last two owners. Now he can get fracked by Terry.

This had disaster written all over it. Was confused why Sabres fans seemed to be excited about the hire.
He was the Sabres' head coach the last time they were a noteworthy team. If you completely overlook those later years of his first tenure when fans soured on him and wanted him fired, you can fool yourself into getting excited about his return.

Completely serious, they should poach Shanny from Toronto. He is likely out soon anyways, and he did change the culture. Leafs were the same unable to make playoffs and being pathetic every year then giving us up in garbage time.

He will clean up the org and replace almost everyone from scouts to trainers to anything associated with the suck.
