It looks like the flu bug finally got to Zach Werenski. If it's something like that then I'd just shut him down.

I wonder if the home point streak plays a part here. Not sure if illness would even affect the streak though...

But yeah not a great game by Werenski tonight.

Isles broadcast said "Elvis Merzlikins has been outstanding [even if letting in 3 goals]". Not sure I agree but we don't really have much offense going.

I'm confident Werenski doesn't care about that.

He's either not feeling well, or the club switching to a defensive system is costing him (and Marchenko et. al.) his feel for the puck and his legs. Or something else, I don't know.

Hoping for the reverse Jinx, but this one looks like a lost cause. Couldn't come at a worse time as rips out any cushion we had on the playoffs and now we are outside looking in with Ott and the Habs playing lights out and the Rangers and Boston either ahead or in striking distance while they figure out how to right the ships (looks like the Rags may have already done so).
