I think the seats are empty because they are the Islanders. I believe their attendance is lower than Columbus so far this season and we know we always get a bump after football season ends.

Week night games there draw in the 15k range.

I went to an Islanders game at Nassau Coliseum in 2012 and got a glass seat in the corner for dirt cheap online before my trip. Much cheaper than NYR and NJD games and always seems to be that way.
