Value of: Isles trading down (as far as 4)

no idea how good this Schaefer is Anyone? I mean, it was a decent beer back in the day
Schaefer is a light-bodied American lager with 3.8% ABV, brewed with six-row malted barley and six hop varieties. It has a mildly sweet aroma with hints of grain, lager, and bitter hops, and a taste with accents of malt and hops. Some say it pairs well with barbecue, Indian food, and shellfish.

From Sj..... a bag of used pucks? There's no guaranteed #1 this year. The Sharks will be happy to take Misa at #2. If Schaefer falls to 2 they'll be happy with that too. So you can count SJ out of trading up unless you want the pucks. Maybe they'll throw in a stick signed by Celebrini for icing. 😆 🤣

I think I'd be okay with giving up 2nd OA, DAL 1st or EDM 1st 2026, and Ottawa's second. Maybe I'd do 2nd+DAL 1st+33rd overall, as I quite like Schaefer, but Misa was my clear #2. Would also take Duclair back on waivers to sweeten the pot.
Want are you drinking for Cinco de Mayo? I want to mix some as it's gotta be good. And no the Sharks want nothing to do with giving up assets to move up 1 pick in a draft that doesn't have a clear cut #1 like last year.

can he block a shot and play with snarl while being flashy like #5 back in the day?

This stuff never happens realistically, NYI will just take who is #1 on their board at #1 and move on. I'd be very surprised if they traded down.
100% they have 2 good prospects and that’s about it. Ritchie and Eiserman.

For sure 2 blue chippers before and now adding Schaefer that makes 3. Not a team like Chicago/San Jose who have been bad for a while and have a great pool of prospects. After the 3 it gets pretty damn bare.

0 chance in hell they trade this

Only the best stuff!

That said, I'm actually sober. You're right 2025 isn't a great draft, but I do think it has a clear #1 and a clear #2. I'd be very, very happy with Misa. If he were an inch taller, he'd be our ideal 2C (I'd like Smith on his RW- think they compliment each other perfectly), but Schaefer would be our ideal 1D.

However, Schaefer is, in my eyes, the best d prospect to come out from Dahlin (2018) to Dupont (2027). If you can secure him at the cost of Misa, Fiddler, and a mid-2nd, I do that without a second thought. Would I give up 18 year old Marleau/Couture and 18 year old Braun for Dahlin given we already have Celebrini, Smith, Eklund, Chernyshov, and Musty? Yes, I would.
