Sorokin is now officially named to the Russia NT World Championships roster.

The game between Shawinigan and Rouyn-Noranda stoped after the 1st period because of some major problem with the ice. It seems there was a leak due to a refrigeration problem...

After one period, it was 2-1 Rouyn-Noranda, Beauvillier scored the goal for Shawinigan, but it seems the game will be replayed from the start. The game should start at 4 pm today.

That is a bit unfair to Rouyn Noranda

I have never heard of that before. A bit unfair to Rouyn-Noranda. Bet Shawinigan is dancing around right now.

Agree with you guys. It's pretty strange they decided to replay the game completely. That's what I heard last night from the broadcasters. No doubt, Shawinigan is happy with that decision if it's really the case.

Apparently there was oil on the ice (I think from the zamboni). In an attempt to get it cleaned up quickly they drilled a small hole in the ice but hit a water pipe causing a huge mess. Damage to pipe couldn't be fixed easily so had to postpone rest of game.

For the prospect guys I have a question concerning the 2016 draft prospects.

If somehow Isles picked up the 4th pick from Edmonton would you guys be upset with Dubois? I looked at some highlights and I kind of like the way he plays.

I take Chychrun outside of the top big three. I know most don't even have him rated as the top D Man anymore, but I still absolutely love his game.

I like Dubois a lot. He's basically what I was hoping Dal Colle was going to be like before I watched him more.

I just don't think Snow moves a proven and cost controlled defenseman for him.

I really really like Sergachev. If we were in position and we take Chychrun over Sergachev I'd be pretty upset. Then again, I spend most of the draft mildly disappointed, except the last 3 or 4 years. Only 4 or 5 picks in total had me upset the last 3 or 4 years.

Funny you say that, a close friend of mine is all aboard the Olli Juolevi train and thinks I'm nuts for thinking Chychrun is the best of the three in that grouping.

I just am a sucker for bloodlines. Granted, didn't work with our Reinhart; butttt I still like em.

Combine that with Chychrun having produced early in his career on par with ekblad. Combined with the muscle and size the kid already has.

sergachev was looking like provorov at times during this season and at others he looked disinterested. i was on the sergachev train when he was flying high, but i've since tempered my expecations. all three of the d-men have question marks, in my opinion.

makes one wonder why he isn't dominating. makes one wonder why he seems to have taken a step back.

Speaking of the draft is the Islanders lose to Tampa, they might luck out and have Julien Gauthier drop to them. He seems to be rated on most lists to go in that 16-22 range. He might be just what the doctor ordered, big RW who can score(although big in the sense Brock Nelson is big). One good think about him is he is a late 97 birthday so it means he only has 1 more year of junior

i fell like such a jack ass for raining on names being mentioned here haha! but i have to say that this kid has just NOT developed in the second half of the season. there can be a million reasons for this, of course, but given his struggles, i'm no longer a fan despite his tremendous physical attributes.

edit: 13 points over 18 games in the last two months of the season for a third year junior player? wtf??

He is a goal scorer and on a team that didn't do well in the second half, goal scorers generally need people setting them up

like i said, there could have been a million things that went wrong that don't make him a poor hockey player. but his brutal second half is still incredibly concerning.

seattle drops another 3-2 decision in overtime. had the lead in the third and gave it up to lose in the extra frame. sound like another team we know? also, was a -3 with an assist.

Finally Shawinigan and Rouyn-Noranda didnt replay the game from the start but from 2nd period which makes much more sense. It was 2-1 after one, and it ended 4-1 for the Huskies.

Anthony Beauvillier scored the only goal for Shawinigan and the series is now 2-0 for Rouyn-Noranda.
