He's not. He's been much better than Janssen, and Boulton, and all the other goons of the last few years.

The fact that our PP is getting blank chances and shots on goal is a good sign. Elias has always been a master of finding ways to not score on high percentage positions.

Marty messed up twice directly leading to goals. He did not have a very strong game at all. I'm all for defending him, but those were his fault. I understand with the amount he plays the puck he'll mess up every now and then. Just pretty rare he does it twice in a game.

That said you can't take penalties in OT and expect to win. It was a weak call though. Our PK was awful tonight.

A few bounces our way these past games and we're 6-0. Still happy we got a point and continued to fight back in this game. Still convinced that the Isles will fade away as this season wears on.

And Chico has been bad this year. He is usually off on a lot of his calls, but this year has been especially tough. Steve seems like too nice of a guy to correct him sometimes. Hopefully Dano can takeover within these next few years.

3-0-3 is fine by me right now. Picking up points in every game despite not playing their best.

Devils-Rangers they probably will, but Arlette only does the anthem for the 'big' games lol. They used to have Brett Russo as the #2, and then last year they started having this other opera singer in to do it a few times. I don't know what that was last night.

Count me into the group that doesn't think Barch is a complete liability. I'd still prefer somebody who can contribute offensively, but if they have to have a goon in the lineup I'd rather it be Barch than Janssen.

If you want Kovy to play as his dynamic self, you have to unleash his defensive shackles. Let him do what he does best.

Playing him on his foreign wing doesn't help much either.

He tried to do too much (trying to be the young Marty who was faster could do those type of plays -coming out of his net & all) but in the end, those bad judgement calls by him cost us the game outright. Nonetheless, we still got a point.

Barch's fighting style is awkward & hard to watch. Still can't figure out why he was signed. I'd have Butler & Mattau in & Barch & Anderson out.

Isles look tough this year. Moose will play against them on Sunday.

the audio, btw, sounded like they got a wav file off of the US Wiki page about 5 minutes before the game. funny stuff

Tough loss, but that was a fun game to be at (ending excluded of course). I loved the fans chanting "Henrique" for his first shift and after his goal.

Also nice to hear Howie Rose on the Isles TV replay say "17,625 people here for another sellout , and it looks like every single one is wearing a Devils jersey".

Poor positioning by the players on the PK cost them the game. Marty lost it for them in OT. Why the **** were there three Devils in the corner going after a puck while being a man down? Also a big mistake by Larsson with that tip, but I'll give him a pass since he hasn't played since to lockout ended. Oh well, Devils are the only team in the East that has yet to lose in regulation at least...

To be fair though if it weren't for his puck handling we don't shutdown the other teams. Particularly Philly, and NYR. Even with the few gaffes.

Sure, he makes me cringe sometimes when he plays the puck, but even with the mistakes, I think his puck handling helps more than it hurts overall.

Went to the game last night, Kovy was invisible (not attacking him or anything), I saw some friends of Matt Anderson there though which has gotta be pretty cool for them.

Disappointed with Josefson thus far in the season.

Worse game of the year for the Devils. The pk resembles the one during last year's playoffs, don't get me started with pp. Down low defense was horrible and Marty was sub par and flopping. And once again very poor discipline, no reason for the cross-check by Tallinder in the ot. I sure hope Lou goes after Perry if he reaches UFA, Patty seems old and we need additional scoring. Hate to blame the kid Larsson because he seemed to be playing well, but has to learn not put his stick on the puck when he's so close to the net. We need a win or these ties will start turning into losses.
