We don’t know. Nobody knew Burns was available. How many goalies do you know weren’t available for certain? None of us know. And if you are willing to overpay a little, more might be available.

The backup goalie. Someone who the Islanders haven’t treated like a shooter tutor twice in a month.

I don’t know that he would have done any better, but Koch looked awful and leaving him in there hasn’t done anything for his confidence or the teams chance of winning.

Now this is mostly hindsight so it’s not really a criticism.
