Cap Friendly is showing Scheifele AND Statsny as injured? And updates?
They are practicing this morning. They will either be on the ice or not. And Maurice will give an update afterwards.Cap Friendly is showing Scheifele AND Statsny as injured? And updates?
It is in no way revisionist history. If you look back I was never in favour of hiring Pomo. And spoke up at the time. This is so much revisionist history. This board was overjoyed when Maurice was hired long term in April 2014. Maurice had replaced Noel half way through the season before and went 18-12-5 for a .586 winning percentage (108 point pace) compared to Noel's .457 winning percentage. If anyone doubts this just dig back to that time on these boards. Trotz at the time was just coming off a 6th place finish in Nashville after only winning 2 playoff rounds in then a 15 year career. No one was advocating for Trotz at that time.
forgivable offense imo.
what brought you north, love or monsanto?
He frequently misplaced passes to his defencemen or made the wrong choice. One memorable one was ignoring Pionk coming to get the puck behind the net in order to fire a pass along the glass to Dillon who was obviously not ready for that and it caused some additional d-zone time.
I think a lot comes down to miscommunication more than anything but he frequently made the wrong or more difficult choice when he came out to play the puck.
Lol.
They play a style that almost won them the Cup last year.
They play a style that is necessary to win.
Who is @Jets 31 ?Jets 31 I think you are the least likely poster to be ignored. Can’t imagine anyone thinking that would make their board experience better.
When you are born there that gives you a pass. Hawks are the Blues dreaded rival so enjoy that game. You are a good poster but Tuesday we do battle
I take it you don't like the Plain Jane GDT's ? Unfortunately they are pretty lucky or i could definitely stop them for you.Yeah, I grew up with the dreaded rivals thing. But conflicting opinions goes to a whole new level in my family. Quick sketch and personal thoughts you might want to skip:
Dad (surgeon/Republican) is from Chicago and a lifetime Hawks fan. Mom (professor/Democrat) is from Göteborg and will always be a Frölunda fan. My older brothers are approaching 30. One twin (lawyer/Democrat) lives in St. Louis and cheers for Detroit, the other twin (oil business/Republican) lives in New Mexico and is a loud Blues fan. And my gay baby brother is doing his PhD at Harvard and is a rabid Bruins fan. And, he’s a big 6’3” and the only member of our family who still actually plays hockey. His current love interest is also a defenceman, on another team.
The weirdest part is we succeed as a family. I don’t know how my folks survived, but even when all 4 of us were teens together family dinners were fantastic. Still are. The only requirement is civility and quickness of wit. You can hold any opinion you want as long as you can defend it and everybody else has to listen. And for years we loved to argue about hockey. Dad still has bobbleheads of Stan Makita and Chico Maki in his den.
Part of what draws me to HF Boards is the same conflict of opinions and the often respectful and hilarious arguments. And, of course, part of the boards has to be avoided. I don’t do GDTs and, as noted elsewhere, I hit ignore on memes about curves and bouncing boobs (being tall and skinny doesn’t bother me at all, no sir, not one bit), and I take the occasional detox break. But as a place to instantly measure opinions from real hockey fans, these boards can be delightful.
Apart from constant self-deprecation, Winnipeg is an amazing city and its hockey culture can be a rich, delightful stream to swim in. Sadly, my roommate (who is busty and curved, but it doesn’t bother me at all) is not “into” hockey so being able to dip into HF Boards is a delicious treat, if you avoid the childish, repetitive bits.
Okay, enough babble and silliness, back to work.

Possibly, but I sure wouldn’t say it is the coaches and not the players. More players than coaches. Not disputing that. But that is about the coaches, not the players.
Their roster is not that great. Not horrible either, just not as strong as most contenders. Mostly, it is the same group who were not very good until Trotz came along.
