I like this deal. He proved his value with the team last season and fills in need for a puck moving LHD.

I’m satisfied and somewhat surprised that he couldn’t get more than one year off last season’s performance. The AAV is quite low and hopefully in one more year there may be prospects competing for his position. If he proves his value, we could always keep him on if our prospects don’t develop.
