Some of you guys are nuts. Stepan was fine. Kreider would not have made a bit of difference and Boyle was probably one of our best players in the 3rd for God's sake.

Richards, Stralman and Tortorella were awful tonight in my view. I don't know why he sat Miller, why he nuked the lines, and why Stralman saw any ice at all after the first half of the game.
I agree with Stepan he was fine. However how do you know CK wouldnt have made a difference. If Torts even gives the kid a legit chance he can give us speed and a great shot. When you are playing 6 minutes per game on the bottom lines you arent gonna get much oppurtunities

How dare you question the almighty Torts? :sarcasm:

When a team plays lazy hockey the coach has to get some blame. They played lazy hockey the last two games.

miller has gotten ALOT of leeway these past few game definetly more than CK. Miller wasnt too good IMO again. Its ok he is only 19 let him develop more.

Yeah, it seems like one mistake and Kreider is glued to the bench, meanwhile these past 2 games Miller hasn't looked good at all and he still keeps getting chances. Oh well.

all im saying is give him a freakin chance. dont bench him in the third because you're afraid hes going to make a mistake because hes a rookie. richards has a giveaway on every one of his shifts it seems like. im glad richards got benched in the third but he was right back out there in OT

Bad loss but I think we need to relax, I think really our only MAJOR problem is the power play. If we have a half decent power play, were up 3-1 or 4-1 in the second with momentum. It needs to be fixed but if we can get anywhere half decent on the power play then we'll have a dangerous team.

The sky is falling, we've gotten 7 out of 8 points in the past 4 games, Islanders are still in last place, everyone calm their ****ing ****.

There are still very real causes for concern with this team. A lot of teams competing for spots with the Rangers are gaining points left and right.

Totally agree. kreider is our bets prospect yet we treat him like a liability, which he isnt its ********. I have a bad feeling Torts will ruin him here and he will end up a big player in boston or something

Okay, you're right, maybe he would have made a big play, the problem is he hasn't done that one time since last season. I guess I'm just tired of this board clamoring for Kreider to be this cure all, and that he's not getting his opportunities. He just doesn't look ready to me.

In order to have that, you need players not being hesitant in taking a shot. Until this team learns the ****ing concept of a one timer or slap shot, don't expect this team to go far.

Marty was so distraught he went downstairs to Penn Station still in his gear. He proceeded to jump on the tracks of the No. 2 train. The train went right through his legs. Thank god he is safe.
I still think he played one of his better games though.

Ha! Your hard on for goalies continues. You have anything to say about the rest of the team? You know, the guys out there skating on the ice?

Acquiring a really good center should be talked about. I don't think Bad Richards will stay this awful, and I'm not giving up on Stepan, but there's going to be large stretches of time where one or both of them are going to be playing hideous hockey. And it's not fair to Boyle for him to be the center that gets moved up. I want another center before another defenseman.

Girardi scored on a one timer tonight, and this team went to the ECF last season, which is pretty far.

Nash is a much better passer than I ever thought, too bad no one can finish.

Stepan is driving me nuts, he had two golden opportunities tonight and the dude and can't get a shot off.

Biron made some great saves, and let up some soft ones. Things balanced out.

You're not going to win every game, but you should win when you have a 2-0 lead after 20 mins.

Especially when you're playing a garbage team who's struggling.

Again, I'm not pinning this on Biron, but I'll never understand the logic behind any coach benching a Vezina goalie on his hottest stretch of the season with two ****ing days off afterwards.

Biron had no business playing tonight. None. The Rangers entered the night as an 8th place team.

Whatever....it's not the first time he's done this and it wont be the last. Henrik is going into the Washington game with four days off, so we'll see if Torts' strategy pays off.
