You really have to see the orange jerseys in person to fully appreciate them.

I wasn't sure about the orange 3rd's at first, but after seeing a bunch of people wearing them at the game last night I'm in love with them. They look great. Can't wait to see them on the ice on opening night!

Both Isles and Oilers' Home and Away are excellent jerseys.

But, the Isles really need to stop introducing Third Jerseys. They have had the worst Third Jerseys in the league for many years now.

I'm not crazy about the Oilers' orange Third Jersey, but in all fairness it is a nod to their original colour scheme in the WHA. I need to see it in action to make a better decision.

In the future, it would be nice for both teams to have Third Jerseys that incorporate minor tweaks rather than radical changes. Consider, for instance, the Habs' white Third Jerseys (beautiful), or the Red Wings' and the Leafs' Winter Classic jerseys. Those are beautiful.

Home: Islanders (darker shade of blue is nice, wish the oilers blue was darker)
Away: Oilers. Such a nice jersey imo
Third: Both meh but Oilers win.

If you go to the isles 3rd jersey thread on our forum there is beautiful Orange isles third concept that really looks good.

The whole black uinform all together doesn't look bad. I'm not in love but I don't hate it and it's actually growing on me. It's 1000X better than the last isles black thirds.

I prefer the Islanders, but they're both great. Islanders are right behind Chicago and Montreal as my favorite sets. Though they always seem to ruin perfection with ugly thirds and they had some bad ones before they went back to this set

Two of my favorite primary sets in the league, I've always preferred the Oilers look a little more.

Bringing the alternates into it...I'd rather not. Orange jerseys work so rarely and stick out like a sore thumb (Philly manages to pull it off), while the Isles long-sleeve shirt is just bland, boring, and just generally lame. At least I love the template on the Oilers alt, if not that much orange being a bit of an eyesore.

I always found it ironic that the Isles and Oilers went to dark blue, and then back to light blue around the same times. Beside that I'll go with the Islanders as an Isles fan, but Oilers 3rds by a landslide.
