Is tonight's lottery phase 1 for entry draft slotting televised?

NB:
I went to see if I could record this as I have a commitment tonight and was shocked to not find it being televised, apparently.
I get MSG has NYK game even tho there are multiple channels.
But expected like NHL channel would carry it.
They have programming but not anything identified to that event.

Did I miss something?

This year will be exactly the same as any other year.

14 balls, numbers 1 through 14, leading to 1001 combinations.

4 balls are drawn

11+12+13+14 results in an automatic redraw. The remaining 1000 combinations are assigned based on the percentages. The Rangers have 10 combinations assigned to them with 1%

last year there were 2 phases due to the bubble playoffs....in the first one there were cards that were assigned to slots depending on who lost in the play in round or whatever it was called. Then obviously the rangers won the lottery by losing to the hurricanes. I think that’s what bern is referring to. There was a lottery before and then a second after the play in round.

there are 16 teams in the lottery and we are the 16th team....so if we aren't the first team revealed, that means we are in the top 2. if we are the first team revealed we pick 15th since arizona forfeited their pick. But we will know either way immediately.

Yes, but he was told 4 different times that wasn't the case but he still didnt get it.

Even if our logo is drawn first we'll still have a chance because if Arizona moves up there is a redraw. So our chances are still alive until we see Arizona's logo where it should be, if I'm understanding correctly. Edit: or do they do that draw behind the scenes and we won't see the initial draw if Arizona wins?

@Amazing Kreiderman should be able to confirm

That combined with Montreal and Winnipeg starting their series, perhaps TSN and Sportsnet will only spend half their time talking about the Leafs tomorrow.

I wish that we got to watch the drawing the same way as the GMs do; we get shown a sheet with who owns each combination, then shown each drawn number individually.

It doesn't even have to be live. That format alone, is just infinitely more interesting and exciting than watching them open envelopes (lol).
