The Germans were ravaged by covid with almost half of a regular roster size and played the night before WHILE having a goalie with around a 50% save percentage, Canada had a full roster size and were rested. If the germans had a full team they probly lose 6-3 , 7-2 or something. Canadas stats are way inflated because of that game.

Looking at canadas players, I am willing to bet they might not even have half the players that will have careers like the 2005 team.

Yeah this is a very good team but lack the elite star power to contend with 2005 and 2015. They've played some seriously weak competition to boot.

They were objectively the best team in the tournament ran into a hot goalie. Canada wins this game probs 7/10 times USA got the 1/3 tn. They played solid defence and Canada couldnt find the center of the ice.
