As a 60 year Hab fan who lived on the Promised Land the first 30 years...and suffered in misery for the other half of that...this has already been a heck of a year.

Assuming we make it into the playoffs and this Rusky bum that just came over is the real deal...the suffering may, just may be over.

Even better, the first month or so the debate started on who to draft top 5...and here we are.

So yes, if we get in it will be a treat...and won't stop for a long time...

Half of Habs top 6 is in diapers. They just showed up to eat a donut and went back down. We will get a much better picture of what we have by Xmas.

According to the talking heads gathered around the network desk/s, after debating statistics ad nauseam, prognosticating about which team will go on a Cinderella run, a cut or three to the sideline reporter with a heartbreaking story about how player 'X' is playing for his recently deceased parent/child in NICU/sister with a drinking problem/etc, and other assorted nonsense, they will all agree and proclaim that "This will be the biggest & bestest playoffs ... evar..."

The rest of us will look up & for the most part declare ... "no"

Will it be fun & exciting, probably. Will there be intriguing stories that come out, sure. Best ever though? Potentially, but at this point the Leafs also potentially could win it all ... so again, no.

Meh. Central will be amazing, Pacific is a snooze fest unless McDrais scores a million points only to get spanked by he Central. Atlantic will be fun and Metro is meh.

Finals ending aside, Florida’s cup run that year was incredibly fun. The comeback vs the record breaking Bruins, “We Want Florida” drama, sweeping the “We didn’t get swept” Canes.

It's better to watch a sustainable team on the upswing than a fluke / once in a lifetime/ Cinderella story

we won 24 cups (most in league btw). I think best ever is asking from a neutral perspective/quality of games.

I'll make it simple for you. 95% of the fans of eliminated teams have picked "Hell no!" while 95% of the fans of teams that are in have picked "Yes, if my team wins it all" or "Yes".

This kind of poll sucks because it is biased beyond belief.
