You keep saying stuff like this but it’s not really true. Toronto has beaten Tampa recently in the playoffs and are fully capable of beating Florida as well.
The Leafs have won a single game in rd 2 over 8 years.

The Florida teams have nothing to worry about

What year had the best playoffs?
My heart says 1994 being a Rangers fan and how epic the Eastern Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals were, however if I put my "journalist" and "unbiased critic" hat on for the rest of the North America, I go with 1986.

My reasons are it was a lot like a classic wrestling pay per view. The favorite (Edmonton) got knocked out in a very unexpected "cheap" way to their rival, you had a David. vs. Goliath thing with the Rangers knocking out the Flyers and Capitals, and Montreal basically "backed into" a Cup with some generational luck when 20 other fanbases had enough of them by that point.

Too many teams heading into game 1 with key injuries this year imo. Cup will basically just go to whoever stays the healthiest this time.

So far these playoffs have sucked pucks. Terrible one sided games with very little excitement. Worst first round in a very long time. Fingers crossed for better games coming. But so far it’s been awful.

Almost every low seed had a terrible road record this season. Many of these series may be 2-0 after 2 but would not be shocked if a couple are quickly 2-2

Hope you’re right. Round one is usually the best.

In recent years less so, the divisional format tends to cause less upsets I think and R2 has been better at times
Years ago it was 1 v 16; 2 v 15 and so on. The current format should actually create better round one matchups with the divisional 2 v 3 and usually has done that. This playoffs just hasn’t. Jersey and Dallas are awful. I see Florida, because of injuries, being awful too.
