Is There Any Team Worse than Philadelphia

They are very bad, which is very good for their Future considering they are in a Rebuild. They are trending towards finishing with the 4th overall pick prior to the Lottery. They also have 2 other 1sts in 2025. They should be doing everything they can to come out of this Draft with Misa to play with Michkov.

The funny thing is, Torts is TRYING to win with this group still. He just can't. Not only because he is past his expiration date, but because the roster sucks. Especially since trading Frost, Farabee, and Laughton and replacing them with some combination of 7 games of Kuzmenko, Pelletier, Deslauriers, and Lycksell.

I was surprised when I went standings hunting and saw they only have 17 regulation wins. Lots of 3-point games that might keep them above the bottom 5 line when all is said and done.
 
We have 4-5 bonafide forwards after the trade deadline. Frost was okay but Farabee regressed so much. Our defense is okay but our goalies suck. That was one of my worries heading into this season. That being said, injuries, inconsistency and just horrible goaltending doomed our season. But to me, the worst team is the Buffalo Sabres. How many years does it take that organization to get their team to be a winner. Thompson, Tuch, Dahlin. When was the last time they sniffed the playoffs? We are bad and so are the other teams but Buffalo is the worst.

Curious about Foerster…top 6? Are they high on him? I think he’s an RFA this season, I’m assuming they’re gonna resign him. I’ve just always liked him. Hard working kid…200’ player…not afraid to get dirty and has a nice shot on him. Thanks for any feedback.

Their best center is Cates, who wouldn't even be 3C on a good NHL team. They have 3 top6 forwards (TK, Michkov, Tippett), of who Tippett is only good for skating to the net with the puck because he doesn't see teammates if they are further than 15 feet from him. Their PP1 QB is Ristolainen, who wouldn't even be PP2 QB on most of NHL teams.

They play Deslauriers, Pelletier, Abols who aren't NHLers period. Their goalies suck, and their defense is the only part of the team that ok, if we aren't talking about PP QBing, and even then their legit top4 NHL defensemen are Sanheim, Ristolainen, and probably York. That's it.

Oh, and they play the most boring hockey in the world. I mean I watched tons of Sochi games in previous two seasons, who were the worst KHL team, and I can't watch the Flyers like at all...

That’s great and all, congrats and/or condolences or whatever, but the Sabres exist and so your thread title just infuriates me. We just scored an own goal 2 games ago, 15 years into a rebuild, as we battle for last place. Our ineptitude will not be questioned or challenged. We are the experts of inexperience, the pinnacle of all lows, the falcon of pigeons. We charge in the wrong direction, then challenge the charge, because our owner is a cheap piece of dogshit. We. Are. Buffalowest goddamn team in the league.

Buffalo is just 3 points behind with 3 games in hand, I'm pretty sure they will outrun Flyers soon. They need to trade their coach to Philadelphia for Torts. I'm sure Buffalo will become better then and Flyers become even worse...

To be serious though, that’s kinda what it is, and what makes it so infuriating- Lindy was on his way outta the league until Buffalo needed the cheapest dude possible. Nostalgia hire, to fill seats. So the roster ain’t as bad actually, agreed, but the result is worse (I know, your team is only recently gutted- Lindy would still lose to you at your worst.)

Torts would actually be almost ideal for Buffalo, they aren't too young anymore so he wouldn't hinder anyone's development. And some of their players feal too comfortable now, they get their millions no matter how good/bad the team is anyway. So an asshole like Torts could help, kinda as a punishment, but he can actually coach too. I know their fans think they need a new owner, but I'm afraid they won't get one anytime soon.

And the Flyers need an offensive minded coach who could make them more entertaining so they lose games 8-4 not 4-0...
 
Very unserious team. Tonight there were multiple goals scored off Philly defenders, just absurd defensive zone coverages, their PP is on a 0/33 streak I think? Too bad they were actually winning some games in the first half, they deserve to be in the hunt for 1st overall.
