THG seems like a good guy and years ago I watched/listened to quite a bit of his stuff. I’d say he’s very productive, but his it’s all very bare bones and I don’t know what I get from his videos.
Pro Hockey Alumni is a Youtube hockey account I can vouch for if you’re interested in well-made videos on interesting characters in hockey history:
Pro Hockey Alumni
The Pro Hockey Alumni channel is celebrates the legends of hockey's golden era: 1967 -1993 We started this channel with one goal: to help preserve some of the greatest stories this game has to tell. These are the stories of the NHL and WHA legends that made us fall in love with the game. We...youtube.com
I like him. His channel has helped my understanding of the sport and the NHL.
Pretty much this. I do think THG has the best power rankings because he watches everyone play, but he does a poor job of actually discussing why each team is placed at each spot. He's hard working and that's pretty much it.Nope. He just kind of rambles on without really saying anything.
The only one I watch with any sort of regularity is Jonathan Hawkey
I think he's honestly scared to give his opinions because he's too hellbent on people disagreeing with him in the comment section. That's my two cents. He gives zero insight and just mostly reads box scores or hockey reference. I been wanting to like his content cause he is dedicated and seems like a nice guy but it’s just so bland. There’s always more to hockey then just stats(a big problem on this forum as well)
Watch Hockey Psychology.I'd say there is no actual top hockey youtube channel you could say "it's the best" about.

Hockey Psychology is by far the best hockey-focused Youtuber. UrinatingTree is the best when it comes to overall sports, including hockey.

That would be Legorocks? I like him.It might be the guy who talks about various NHL topics while playing video games.
I first encountered this guys videos in History Forum as some presented him as some sort of authority/expert in hockey matters. Which was slightly irritating, but ofcourse not the guys fault.Best in terms of volume and catering to the broadest audience. His technical knowledge and analysis lack big time. The player career videos are always a letdown as he does very little outside of reading out the career achievements. Decent enough guy to hang around and talk surface level day-to-day hockey stuff, though (no, I've never actually done either).
I didn't watch the top 20 d-man video but just seeing the list it does seem quite terrible.
