Definitely a Reinbacher & Simashev breakout seasons, they are obviously better than Michkov

-Montreal and Arizona management
You must be new to hockey to say that but I'm happy to educate you.

Usually defenceman takes longer then forward to play in the NHL, that's a fact.

Reinbacher is the best defenceman in Laval, he's probably jumping in the NHL next season.

I think all of them make big jumps next year, which is the consensus opinion. But I gotta say, on top of an excellent second half, Leo Carlsson showed some very strong defense at the World Championships. If he can bulk up over the summer, he's gonna be a powerhouse. Swedish Barkov is not a crazy projection.
He looks like he's ready to start taking over games on a regular basis.

Helps that he was starting to show some real chemistry with Cutter Gauthier, which was such a natural fit (fast playmaker with a virtually equal speed sniper) it defied all understanding as to why Cronin waited until the last leg of the season to put them back together. Like they didn't have great chemistry to start the season but that wasn't an issue with fit as much as it was that Gauthier walked into the NHL needing time to adapt his timing and to clean up his idiotic attempts at flashy no look passes. But Cutter had a good showing for the US at Worlds too and that's a duo that can break out in a big way next season. Especially if they add a strong player to their right wing through trade or FA. Alex Killorn just isn't the right fit for them.

Also helps that Quenneville has previous experience coaching Alex Barkov who I'd argue is Carlsson's best comp.

Hahaha im glad you can still live in a denial phase for like 6-12 more months. Possible top4 D vs Franchise winger
