No, MacKinnon already said McDavid and Crosby were already playing together over the Summer and nobody could beat them.

Crosby and Draisaitl have a similar style so it makes sense to have them together.
Canada won’t break up Bergy/Crosby/Marchand until they see how they play the first game or two first.
Those guys made the best NHL players look like garbage last time they played together

It will either be Marchand-Crosby-Bergeron or one of McDavid/MacKinnon will move to wing. Crosby is a much better all-around, two-way player than either of Mc/Mac and is better suited to being the main pivot. Personally, I'd lean toward keeping that World Cup line together, as they can do everything and play the toughest minutes, leaving McDavid and MacKinnon to focus on offense.

Also, even though McDavid and MacKinnon are currently better offensive players than an aging Sid, I wouldn't be surprised if Crosby is the player leaned on the most by Team Canada.

The captain will play on first line. Unlike the other fancy Canada centers, Crosby actually knows how to win championships.

Not sure if and by how much there will be line hierarchy (could be game by game) and if there is one it is hard to predict.

It is impossible to say that McDavid amd/or MacKinnon will not be the most used one some nights and so go for the Marchand-Bergeron-Crosby line (if it end up like that).

I guarantee the top line is going to be

Bergeron/Sid/Marchand

McDavid is basically a winger so Crosby might as well center him.

I recall Mackinnon saying that McDavid was on kept on Crosby's wing during training camp.

Think we see Crosby,McDavid, Mackinnon together on the PP...

You gotta think having Crosby/McDavid together sometimes will produce nothing short of Magic...

If the game is on the line, you gotta be willing to throw whatever players you have out there to get a goal.

Don't tell me there's a better two players on Team Canada than Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby... they might not be Gretzky and Lemieux, but they're pretty darn close. It would be a shame to not see Sid and McDavid play together, at all.

I have a feeling this will finally be the year we get to see a Canada vs Russia Gold Medal Game, and it's going to go down as one for the ages, ala the old Canada Cup battles between Canada and the Soviets.

Hockey fans deserve nothing less, and I think Russia finally has a good enough team together to make it to the Gold Medal game, and maybe even win.

Can't think of a more epic apex to the Ovi vs Crosby debate than a gold medal game between Canada vs Russia.

I would think Marchand - Crosby - MacKinnon would be their second line.

Huberdeau - McDavid - Stamkos
Marchand - Crosby - MacKinnon
xxxx - Tavares - Marner
xxxx - Bergeron - xxxx

Lmao, why not just throw Marchand on another line while we're at it?

Imo, you keep one of the most tried and true lines of Team Canada history together, but you look at opportunities to get Crosby out there with Mcdavid and Mackinnon in some crucial moments, especially, on, but not limited to the powerplay.

Mackinnon-McDavid-Stamkos, with Crosby available to sub in and shift McDavid to the wing. It works, because you keep McDavid on the ice more, and he just shifts positions when Crosby is on the ice. These type of on the fly changes can work since we're looking at 5 of the best centers in the NHL in Canada's top 6.

MacKinnon/McDavid/Stamkos
Marchand/Crosby/Bergeron
Mangiapane/Barzal/Huberdeau
Tavares/Point/Stone

nah way, they are the #2 line now after McDavid's line, come on.

They are like the best second line Canada will ever have, considering they've been our first line for so long, and are all still so good. The Q Line!
Nope, that Crosby line will still be used for any high pressure scenarios

Yes, Crosby will be the third line center:

Stamkos - McDavid - Stone
Huberdeau - MacKinnon - Marner
Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron
Dubois - Couturier - Point
(O’Reilly, Barzal)

You give McDavid, Mackinnon, and Crosby their own lines. Centre depth is arguably Canada's biggest asset so until you've got reason to break that up I don't see any reason to.

Plus Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron is a proven absolutely dominant line you can play in any situation.

McDavid and Mackinnon is better than Crosby. Its a fact. But becuse of sentimental reasons nobody will admit it. Not saying Crosby have become bad, he is still very good.

Agreed. I think they go with that line, but if things don't go well for Canada early on McDavid and Crosby might end up together.
