this thread made me go look at his twitter account and the last few hours today he’s been arguing and responding to random people like a child. You know your an embarrassment when your behavior is embarrassing for a podcast like spitting chicklets.

I never really hated RA but also didn’t really care for him same time. He was just kinda…there…I guess. He’s definitely gone off the rails the past few year and is just very unlikeable now.

He was being a creep with her and said some inappropriate things. It’s just sad to see it happening. I didn’t follow closely. Only listened to the show because my team was in the playoffs and a subject of talk.

He definitely seemed to be off. I thought the guy was sick with how much he was trembling and tweaking on camera. His partying took a physical toll on him. No wonder the others stepped in.

@TheNumber4 and I interact on the Oiler pages frequently. All I was suggesting to him was that RA wasn’t sidelined because he was on the Oiler bandwagon. It’s much more than that.

RA was the co-founder of the popular Spittin Chiclets podcast and host for 8 years. Over the past couple years, he's developed a cocaine problem, his drinking has gotten out of hand, and he regularly takes edibles and mushrooms before the job. His wife recently divorced him. To clarify, if this sounds like someone in his 30s who can't let college go, he's 53 years old. His interview with Barkov was embarrassing, he's obviously out of his mind and he wound up sleeping on the beach that night. After this, he was essentially removed from the podcast to get clean, but he hasn't done so and he remains off the podcast. I think that pretty much sums it up.

I recall that interview. Wayne, ever the gentleman, just downplayed it. But it was a classic RA moment. Biz and Whit never let him forget his moment of stupidity.

He is (was?) close with the Tkachuks but then got caught up in the Edmonton come back hype. Got drunk and rooted for ‘em, then tried to join the Tkachuks with the cup on the ice and got told “haha screw off. No, seriously”. And he was partying pretty hard, plus a recent divorce- they agreed he needed some time off, which is fair.

whole thing made me realize how insecure hockey players are hahah

guy rooted for a historic comeback and it pissed made them that mad that they couldn’t even take it in stride. Sad.
